Equipment
- 1 Cast Iron Pan
Ingredients
Salmon
- 2 lbs Salmon
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
Sauce
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Olive Oil
- 6 Cloves Garlic Minced
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 3 tbsp Water
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce Low Sodium
- 1 tbsp Sriracha Sauce
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice Fresh
Garnish
- 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds White
- 1 tbsp Chopped Parsley
Instructions
- Pat dry the salmon with paper towel and then season it with salt, pepper, and paprika. Turn on oven to broil.
- Add butter and olive oil to the skillet over medium high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic, water, soy sauce, sriracha, honey, and lemon juice. Simmer for 30 seconds.
- Add the seasoned salmon, skin side down. Cook for 3 minutes. Baste salmon frequently with the sauce (use a spoon to scoop and pour over fish to distribute heat).
- Place the skillet and salmon in the broiler for 5-6 minutes. Baste with sauce halfway through broiling. Salmon will be done when it is caramelized and/or cooked to desired doneness.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and parsley. Enjoy!
Notes
If you would like more sauce with the salmon, double the sauce ingredients, but cook the extra amount in a saucepan on the stovetop. If you double the sauce ingredients and add it with the salmon in the broiler, it will poach the fish.
Tastes great served over white rice.
