Fall Dinner Menu to Steal!

Fall is my favorite season, the air gets crisp, the leaves turn gold, and it finally feels right to turn the oven back on. I love this time of year because it’s perfect for gathering friends, lighting a few candles, and cooking something warm and cozy.

I’ve been using this fall dinner party menu for my private chef events — and it’s such a hit that I had to share it here. It’s simple, comforting, and full of those “mmm, that smells amazing” moments.

🍴 The Menu

Appetizers
🥖 Whipped Ricotta Crostini with Poached Pear, Candied Walnut, Honey & Thyme
Sweet, creamy, and crunchy — like fall on toast.

🦞 Hot Lobster Dip with Potato Chips
A Maine twist on comfort food. It’s rich, buttery, and disappears fast.

First Course
🥗 Arugula Salad with White Wine Poached Pear, Crushed Pistachios, Slivered Dates & Honey Dijon Vinaigrette
Fresh and bright, with just the right mix of sweet and tangy.

Main Course
🍷 Red Wine Braised Short Ribs over Mashed Potatoes with Sautéed Spinach
Tender, melt-in-your-mouth short ribs with creamy mashed potatoes — a classic, cozy centerpiece for any fall night.

Side
🍞 Focaccia Bread with Olive Oil Dip
Soft, herby, and perfect for soaking up every last drop of sauce.

Dessert
🍊 Orange Chocolate Grand Marnier Mousse
Light, silky, and just a little boozy — the perfect ending to a cozy dinner.

Tips for Hosting a Fall Dinner Party

🍁 Set the scene: Light a few candles, put on soft music, and let your kitchen smells do the decorating.
🍂 Prep ahead: Braised dishes (like short ribs) are your best friend — start them early and let them cook!
🍷 Serve something sippable: A red wine with a little spice, or even a warm cocktail like mulled cider, fits perfectly.
🕯️ Keep it relaxed: No one remembers if the napkins match. They remember how they felt — full, happy, and cozy.

Fall dinner parties don’t have to be complicated,  just full of heart, flavor, and good company.
